Welcome to CUPE 608

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6PM at our Union Office unless otherwise advised.  We do not meet in June or July.

Please note, your attendance is very important so we can conduct proper union business.   Please put us in your calendar and commit to spending an hour or so once a month!!

You can find information about what CUPE BC and CUPE National are doing to support members under the news tab on the CUPE BC website (https://www.cupe.bc.ca/) and under COVID19 on the CUPE National website (https://cupe.ca/)

Serving communities in the Okanagan and Similkameen

CUPE 608 is a composite local supporting members in communities from Osoyoos in the south, to Princeton in the west and Peachland in the north.  Our members are dedicated to providing the best service possible to the public we serve.

We represent members in a variety of positions from municipal governments to golf courses, civilian members of the Penticton RCMP detachment and even one library.  Our municipal members are not just those you see at the front desks in city and town halls but also include the employees who maintain parks, facilities and public infrastructure, planning officers and bylaw enforcement.

Monthly membership meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm (except July and August), unless changed through notice to our members. Membership meetings are open to all members in good standing.  The City of Penticton holds their regular monthly membership meeting at 5:00 pm the same night.  Both meetings are held at the Union office at 416 Westminster Ave. West in Penticton.
